Edge Computing Takes Center Stage at Google Next

Google-FogHorn

FogHorn had a fantastic three days participating at Google Next 2018. Edge computing took center stage at the show with Google's announcement of their new IIoT edge strategy. FogHorn was featured on stage as a key partner in their edge solution.

Google's edge strategy began to take shape earlier this year when Google and FogHorn announced a collaboration to integrate FogHorn’s breakthrough Lightning™ edge analytics and machine learning platform with Cloud IoT Core, a fully managed service that allows you to easily and securely connect, manage, and ingest data from globally dispersed devices.

Edge-IIoT-GoogleFogHorn's unique complex event processor (CEP) -based edge intelligence compliments the new edge tools Google just announced. With FogHorn, industrial companies can accelerate improvements in performance monitoring, improving yield, predictive maintenance, safety, and compliance. Bottom line, our customers save millions of dollars every year as a result. Now integrated with Google Cloud, FogHorn creates the optimal performance at the edge.

At the show, FogHorn gave a sneak peak of the industry’s first iterative edge-to-cloud demo, showcasing how industrial IoT artificial intelligence and closed-loop machine learning between edge and cloud helps maximize the value of industrial data from connected, IoT devices.
